Athina joined Rae and Company as a Student-at-Law in 2024 after completing her Law Degree (JD) at the University of Calgary, where she also conducted legal research on International Law related to Indigenous peoples. Prior to her time at the University of Calgary, Athina worked as a technical writer and editor, and a project manager for a research organization.
